Patine grasse
In English use: Saturated organic patina
A "fatty" patina — wood fully saturated with animal or plant fats, dark and damp-looking but not sticky.
Sits phenomenologically between liquid suintante and smooth beurrée. The object is organically fully saturated; the wood has lost its dry, dead character and seems nourished from within. Tells of sustained care without thick crusts.
