Vibration

In English use: Visual surface vibration

The optical pulse of a *facetté* surface — micro-shadows give the sculpture a living, almost musical rhythm.

The optical effect that emerges when light hits a facetté surface. The micro-shadows of the polygonal facets produce a living, pulsating rhythm — the static object seems to breathe.

It is precisely this vibration that European modernists like Picasso felt and sought to reproduce in their own work.
